Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and organized Home Remodeling Project Manager to execute and oversee diverse residential renovation projects. In this role, you will manage day-to-day operations on active job sites, perform hands-on skilled trade work, and coordinate specialized trade subcontractors (plumbing, electrical, HVAC). The ideal candidate possesses comprehensive knowledge of residential building practices, exceptional problem-solving skills for handling unforeseen structural surprises, and a strong customer-service mindset when working inside clients' homes.

Core Responsibilities

  • Job Site Supervision: Oversee daily job site operations, ensuring safety compliance, clean workspaces, and strict adherence to architectural blueprints.
  • Hands-On Skilled Trades: Perform high-quality structural framing, drywall installation, window/door hanging, finish carpentry, and tile work as needed.
  • Subcontractor Management: Schedule, direct, and verify the quality of work performed by specialized subcontractors (such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing crews).
  • Material & Timeline Coordination: Inventory incoming building materials, track project milestones, and adapt schedules to prevent project delays.
  • Client & Permitting Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for homeowners to provide progress updates, manage change orders, and coordinate inspections with local municipal permitting offices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Construction Expertise: Extensive hands-on knowledge of residential building codes, structural framing, cabinetry installation, and trim work.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to assess structural anomalies in older homes and formulate sound, code-compliant solutions on the fly.
  • Blueprint Reading: Full proficiency in reading and executing construction drawings, architectural plans, and structural layouts.
  • Communication & Tools: Excellent interpersonal skills to handle client relations, along with ownership of a standard suite of professional-grade hand and power tools.
  • Experience & Licensing: 5+ years of residential remodeling experience. A valid driver's license and reliable truck/van capable of transporting tools/materials are required.

In this entry-level role, you will work directly alongside experienced tradespeople, performing essential manual labor, site setup, structural demolition, and finishing touch assistance. Core Responsibilities

  • Site Setup & Prep: Load, unload, and organize building materials, power tools, and heavy machinery across active residential sites.
  • Selective Demolition: Safely tear down old framing, cabinetry, flooring, and drywall using sledgehammers, pry bars, and reciprocating saws.
  • Carpentry & Trade Support: Assist with measuring, cutting lumber/drywall, holding panels in place, and handing appropriate tools to lead carpenters
  • Debris & Waste Management: Maintain safe, Hazard-free workspaces by continuously clearing out rubble, sorting construction waste, and vacuuming dust
  • Basic Material Installations: Apply basic coats of primer or paint, install minor fixtures, hang insulation, and assist with drywall patching under direct supervision
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean, lubricate, and organize team tools, cords, and hoses at the start and end of every shift.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50–70 lbs consistently, climb ladders, crawl into tight spaces, and work in dusty, noisy conditions.
  • Tool Familiarity: Comfort using a variety of hand and power tools safely (e.g., drills, circular saws, grinders, tape measures).
  • Active Listening: Strong ability to follow precise verbal directions and multi-step blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
  • Punctuality & Reliability: Must have a strong work ethic, turn up early, and possess a valid driver’s license with reliable transit to various job sites.
  • Preferred Experience: 6 months to 1 year of general labor or residential construction experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate
