Hurricane Milton caused our home to flood, in Oldsmar, Florida. First Choice Home Services of Pinellas County (FCHS) restored our home. This process began with discussions, which allowed us to share our ideas for restoration. FCHS took on the complicated, lengthy permitting process, including FEMA. Afterwards the months-long process of rebuilding began. FCHS was in control every step of the way.
Kitchen Design
As an engaged couple, we bought our first home together just doors from the Trail with a view of the park and large pond. The home was everything we wished for, but the view made it our Forever Home. After we settled into our new home we turned our attention to our wedding and honeymoon plans. All was right in the world until Milton came calling on October 9, 2024. Our wonderful home flooded and there was nothing we could do to prevent the disaster that followed. When the water reseeded there was the worry of dealing with our insurance company and jumping through the permitting hoops with the city, plus wondering how FEMA would treat us. Where would we live? Could we still go forward with our wedding and honeymoon? Everything was ruined, including the new dishwasher, stove and refrigerator we purchased to update our kitchen. Not only did water rush into our home from the pond but also the roof leaked, making the ceilings run with rain water. How could we sleep at night with so much uncertainty and where could we turn for help?
Completed Kitchen
First things first, we needed to know who we could trust to restore our home…the home we fell in love with. We asked our family and friends who they would trust in our circumstances. We went online to see what we could find and one name kept coming up as a company that treats your home like their own. We heard all the horror stories about contractors not showing up and not being knowledgeable. We knew we had to make the right choice the first time and thankfully we did! First Choice Home Services of Pinellas is owned by knowledgeable people with a combined span of 50 years doing exactly what we needed…restoration and remodeling. They were our solution to making right again the devastation from Hurricane Milton. They listened to our wishes and needs and made them a reality.
Kitchen Design
After several months of living away, we came back to the home that was everything we wished for…our Forever Home. We were married as planned and were so confident in the First Choice Home Services team that we went on our Honeymoon as planned. Thankfully, they surpassed our high expectations.
